Twin Lakes County Park
Description
As per its namesake Twin Lakes Park has plenty of fishing in all seasons! West Twin is restricted to ELECTRIC MOTORS ONLY but will have a new boat access in 2020. East Twin water levels are now under control as a temporary drawdown structure was installed in 2019.The boat landing is usable. Both lakes also have prime ice fishing.
Two campsites are available at Twin Lakes Park, and 2 picnic shelters provide day use and large gatherings. The park staff will be installing Natural Landscape playground features in 2020, and in close proximity on West Twin Lake is planned an up-shore beach area with access to the water.
A newly replanted native prairie area will be managed for outdoor education. Fully development of this site should be complete in June of 2021.
Twin Lakes Park Paddle Share is a new and exciting recreational opportunity for people who don’t own a boat, and want a safe and enjoyable experience on the water. We provide a high quality selection of single kayaks, double kayaks, and paddle boards, along with paddles, and life jackets. You make a reservation that fits your travel plans, show up, enter a code which will give you access to your boat, and away you go. When you are done, simply put everything back into the container and go on your way. Welcome to an easy and affordable way to enjoy paddling.
