End-O-Line Railroad Park

Description

Located on the northern edge of the City of Currie and bordering the Des Moines River, this park holds a collection of buildings, both, historic and reproductions, that help tell the story of the early history of the railroads in Murray County and southwestern Minnesota as well as the history of Currie and Murray County. The center point of the park is the 1901 manually operated turntable that is on the National Register of Historic Places. The site also serves as the trailhead for the Casey Jones State Trail. Amenities include guided tours, engine house, veterans memorial, historic and reproduction of various buildings, two playgrounds, restroom facilities, picnic shelter and gift shop.
